Halloween

On Friday, October 31st in the afternoon (right after lunch) we will be participating in some Halloween activities as well take part in a school-wide parade.  If you would like to send in a costume (no weapons or masks please) with your child on that day we will help them into the costume then help them out of it after the parade.  If you do NOT wish to send a costume for your child but would still like them to participate, please dress them in orange and black J

** * PLEASE LABEL YOUR CHILD’S COSTUME/BAG – there are  27 children in the classroom and we are almost guaranteed duplicates.  WE WANT TO AVOID ANY MIX-UPS***.
Thank you so much and have a great day!
Sincerely ,

The Kindergarten Team.

Airplanes and Airports are Really Taking off!

A BIG thank you to the families that have been discussing airplanes and airports at home! The students are coming in full of wonderings and enthusiasm!!  Thank you also to our wonderful Rick Hansen family that created an incredible powerpoint slideshow on the airplanes and airports they encountered when on a recent trip.
Here is a small look at the work going on in our room...
These are two journals written by some incredible students.

This is from the PowerPoint sent in from an incredible family in our room

The students each have their own passport to use in the classroom for when they take a trip aboard our class airplane

One student made their own luggage carrier that he saw on the PowerPoint.

This is a logo one student made for his own airline.

Our Wonder Bench

Our "Wonder Bench" is well underway :)!

The students have placed their hand prints on the bench and we have decided to document our journey through our inquiries by painting a symbol to show what we have been exploring and wondering about.
